Series: Revive Us Again

Psalm 85:6 - "Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in You?"

Revive - awakening, beginning again

 

1. Why do we need to be revived?

• Worship is neglected - John 4:23-24
• Discouragement & fear - I Kings 19:4, 14, 18
• Faith is defeated - 1 Timothy 1:18, 6:12
• Any spiritual condition where we are less than we were before

2.  Dangers in our need for being revived!

• Comes without our awareness
  • Samson - Judges 16:20
  • Apostles -  Matthew 17:19-20
• Comes with a hardened heart/attitude
  • Pharoah, Ananias & Saphira
  • Flesh will fight against revival

3. What kind of revival do we need?

• We need a revival of the church
  • Churches of Sardius, Laodicea, Ephesus
• We need a revival that will rekindle old fires
• We need a revival that will restore joy and victory as a child of God.

4.  How can we have revival?

• We must realize only God can send revival.
• We must pray for God to grant it to us. 
• We must do our part and work for it.
• We must face up to spiritual realities.
• We must desire to be revived.
