Taking Responsibility

     “Taking Responsibility!”

We live in a society where no one wants to take responsibility for his or her actions. Everyone wants to blame someone else for the decisions that he or she  makes. Parents are blamed, schools are blamed, governments are blamed, and the church is blamed for sins that people commit. “It is not my fault!” is a common cry among our society today. Why should I have to suffer the consequences? My parents let me down. My schools didn’t teach me correctly. The government should have provided me with assistance. The church was too strict on me as I was growing up.

When it comes to the Day of Judgement, “Who will you blame if you are lost?”

You cannot blame God:

God gave His Son for your sins. – John 3:16-17

God wants all to be saved. – I Timothy 2:3-4

God gave the gospel to all. – Romans 1:16

You cannot blame Christ:

Christ died for all. – Hebrews 2:9

Christ invites all. – Matthew 11:28-30

Christ wishes none to perish. – 2 Peter 3:9

You cannot blame the Holy Spirit:

The Holy Spirit guided men to write the Bible. – 2 Peter 1:21

The Holy Spirit invites. – Revelation 22:17

YOU CAN ONLY BLAME YOURSELF:

     Save Yourself. – Acts 2:40

Work out your own salvation. – Philippians 2:20

You must obey the gospel. – Hebrews 5:9

Take responsibility for your life and your actions or else you will suffer the consequences!
