Allen Greeley

A message from Allen Greeley, our new evangelist:

Hello everyone! My family and I are so appreciative to be working with the church in Plainfield. My name is Allen Greeley (age 42) and my wife is Vera Greeley (44). I am from Phoenix, AZ and Vera is from Indiana, mainly spending her upbringing near Greencastle and Lafayette. God blessed us with meeting each other in 2009, the same year we were married. Our 15th year anniversary will be in November.

We have 4 kids- Judah (13, 8th grade), Silas (10, 4th grade) Miriam (9, 4th grade) and Lydia (7, 2nd grade). We adopted our 2 sons from China in 2013 and 2016 when they were about 2 1/2 years of age. Our girls were born to us in 2014 and 2016. Our son Judah is a Christian, having been baptized about 2 years ago.

We are a very typical family that loves games, sports, fishing, movies and more.

Vera has a degree in Food Science from Purdue University. She did some post graduate work at NC State. She worked for Tate and Lyle in Illinois as a food scientist before we met and has worked more recently as a Teacher Assistant for the school our kids were attending in Arizona.

I grew up in Phoenix, AZ and did all my schooling there as well, including college. I have 4 years of military service (Marine corps), working on aircraft. My main source of employment was in the RV industry where I spent about 14 years in business with Blue Compass RV. My true passion though is preaching and teaching God's word!

I've been preaching at least part time for a little over 16 years. The congregations I've worked with are the Butler church of Christ in Missouri -- this is where I did a year-long preacher training program. Then, in Arizona, I worked as a preacher with the Prescott church of Christ (in Prescott, AZ), the Monte Vista church of Christ (in Phoenix, AZ) and the Valley church of Christ.

I've held several gospel meetings in other places such as California, Indiana, Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota, Florida, and Missouri. I've also been to Sierra Leone Africa to preach with Steve Niemeier and Dave Schmidt for a couple of weeks in 2019.

We are so excited to be a part of the Plainfield church family! Our hope and prayer is that we can help each other spiritually as we journey home. All glory to God!
