Keys to a Great 2022!

“KEYS TO A GREAT 2022”

As we approach the last few days of 2021 and look forward to the new year of 2022, many Christians wonder what they should do. They wonder how they can make 2022 better than 2021. Many people over the next few days will be making resolutions for the coming year. They will resolve to lose weight, save money, and exercise more. Many of the resolutions that we make deal with the physical body and very few deal with our spiritual condition. If you want to improve your spiritual condition in 2022, let me suggest several keys to having a great year.

KEY #1 – Deny YourselfMatthew 16:24 – Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.”

KEY #2 – Crucify the Old ManRomans 6:6 – “knowing that, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.”

KEY #3 – Pray without CeasingI Thessalonians 5:17-18 – “pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

KEY #4 – Walk in the LightI John 1:7 – “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin.”

KEY #5 – Cast Your Burdens upon the LordPsalm 55:22 – “Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.”

KEY # 6 – Confess your Sins Daily – I John 1:9 - “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

KEY #7 – Keep Yourself UnspottedJames 1:27 – “…………and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.”

KEY #8 – Meditate upon God’s WordPsalm 119:97 – “Oh, how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day.”

If every Christian would use these eight keys in 2022, they will unlock the doors to improvement in their spiritual lives for the new year. Blessings, opportunities, and contentment will be there for the Christian who devotes his or her life to Christ in the coming year. Make the most of 2022 by placing God first in your lives. May we give God and Christ all the glory and praise that They deserve as we worship and serve Them in our lives.                                                Written by Larry Schneider
